Come join us on the North Platte River June 25, 2011 for good food, live music, beer garden, athletic events and more! Fun for the whole family!!
The Platte-A-Palooza in Casper, Wyoming, is a community river festival organized by a committee of local kayakers and rafters. Below is just a few of the things you can expect to find. See you there!
- White Water Rodeo, hosted by The Casper Paddling Club, will show case Casper’s White Water Park and Kayak competition. Events include; Men’s Pro, Amateur, Junior, Senior, Recreation, and Women’s divisions. Boater-cross down river races, creek boat and play boat divisions and a Hooligan Race (no spray skirts) and begins at 9 a.m.
We will also have the first inner tube race on the Platte through the White Water Park. Inner tube race is $5 bucks to enter and the winner splits the pot 50/50 with The Casper Paddling Club. Competitors must have a life jacket on for all events on the river.
- Music Festival - Utilizing local and regional bands from noon to 8:30 p.m.
- Brew Festival - Brewers from the region with be on site pouring their brewtastic creations! Tickets will be available for purchase. Be sure to bring your ID.
- BBQ - Yumm, what more can I say!
- Vendors - A variety of vendors will be on site with food, beverages, t-shirts, and more.
- Family activities - There will be a kids area and plenty of activities for families.
- Promoting River Safety and Awareness - We will have booths and demonstrations for water safety, along with interactive learning games.
Parking will be located on King Boulevard, just west of the events.
